Its president, R. Stephen Chauvin, AIA, NCARB, is a licensed architect and general contractor. Working with a highly skilled staff of artisans and craftsmen, he has been performing residential design and construction since 1983.
The meaning of "Arkhitekton"
Arkhitekton is the Greek term meaning “master builder” from which the word architect is derived. Originally used to describe the leading stone mason of the ancient Greek temples of 500 B.C.; Arkhi – meaning head, chief, master / Tekton - meaning worker, builder. Related to Tekhne - meaning art, skill. This word gives great respect to the Art of Building.
